Bernie, Todd, the kids and I were blessed with your warmth every time that you visited the mountains of Virginia. You made us all feel special. You gave special attention where you sensed it was needed and for that we will forever be grateful. You were a “sister” to my mother-in-law who cherished her relationships with her “sisters”. We all love you. We were so blessed to have you as part of our lives. And we will miss you. Enjoy yourself in Heaven and may we all see you there one day. My deepest sympathy to Bill, Laverne’s children and grandchildren, and also to Judy, Roxie, Fred, and Linda Kay. I will miss my dear first cousin. We were close as children and as we grew older, we went our different ways, but I kept in touch with her as much as I could. I am so sorry that she had to leave us.

Mom, unknown to me at the time, you gave loving birth to your first born.
Because of that, you gave me life that allowed me to become the man I am today thru your love, guidance, direction and most of all, a mother’s love.
Because of you, you gave me life that allowed me to meet and fall in love with, my beautiful wife Michelle.
Because of you, you gave me life that allowed Michelle and I to be blessed with two of the most remarkable men I know, our sons Zachary and Chad, your grandsons who adored and loved you deeply.
