Obituary of Gail L. Hatter

Gail Hatter Gail L. Hatter, 74, quietly succumbed to her long battle with cancer on Saturday, June 13, 2015. Born in Auburn, Pennsylvania, she made Florida her home since 1972. She moved to the Melbourne area in 1993 along with the 301st Rescue Squadron following Hurricane Andrew. She served as the secretary for the commanding officer of the 920th Combat Rescue Group for 18 years. Prior to that, she worked as a secretary at Everglades National Park for 11 years. A loving and devoted mother, her family includes three children: her son Steven Dupes and his wife Pamela of Camp Hill, PA; daughter, Tracy Frameli and her husband David of Dayton, OH; and son Scott Dupes and his wife Tina of West Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren Travis, Lucas, Maia, Andrea, and Nina. In addition, she was a loving pet owner and was rarely seen without her dog Daisy. She is predeceased by her husband, Elmer Hatter of Melbourne, FL; her sister, Jane Goss of Shippensburg, PA; and her parents Robert and Beatrice Goss, Elizabethtown, PA. A private family ceremony will be conducted at a later date. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society
