Matriarch of the South Florida Youth Symphony, Marylou Nappo, dies at age 89.
Born Marylou Gibson on December 18, 1926 in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the wife of Donald Gould (died 1960)+é-á and Carmen Nappo (died 1970). She lost her battle of two years fighting metastasized cancer.+é-á Marylou worked tirelessly for the South Florida Youth Symphony founded by her husband Maestro Carmen Nappo in 1964.+é-á She remained active in the creative and musical arts and was a patron of the Brevard Symphony in Melbourne, FL.+é-á
Marylou is survived by her daughter Marjorie Gould Hahn (Jack) and their children Hillary Hahn and Eric Hahn; son-in-law John H. Clark and his two sons Matthew and Ian Clark and great grandson Benjamin Clark.+é-á She leaves us all with a legacy of selfless love, gracious hospitality, and undying wit and humor.+é-á
