Obituary of Donald John Cameron

Donald John Cameron, 91, formerly of Mount Pleasant, died on Tuesday, December 30, 2014. He was born in Bronx, New York and was the son of Robert and Lillian Cameron. He attended schools in New York City, playing the French Horn in high school orchestras. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army. He worked for Caltex Petroleum as a manager, Supply Logistics until his retirement in 1984. He lived in East Cooper Estates located in Mount Pleasant following his retirement until 2014. During that time, he was President of East Cooper Lake Owner’s Association for 20 years. Donald was preceded in death by his first wife, Ginger Ann Cameron, his second wife, Barbara Bean Cameron and his third wife, Beverly Wallace Adams Cameron. He is survived by his children, Donald J. Cameron and his wife, Fay of Mount Pleasant, SC, Scott A. Cameron and his wife, Susan of Barefoot Bay, Thomas M. Bean and his wife, Elsie of St. Mary’s, GA, Cathy Kelly and her husband, Jon of Port Orange, FL, Timothy M. Bean of Mount Pleasant, SC, Karen Parker and her husband, Stan of Winston-Salem, NC, Christopher J. Bean of Mount Pleasant, SC, Denise Ferguson of Mount Pleasant, SC, Renee Steljes and her husband, Derrick of Mount Pleasant, SC; 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 950 Malabar Road, S.E., Palm Bay, FL (321) 724-2224.
