Obituary of Phyllis Joan Polhemus Van Arsdale

Phyllis Joan Polhemus Van Arsdale, 80, of Melbourne passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2014 after a long illness. She was born in Neptune, NJ on November 19, 1933. She was an executive secretary in the corporate office of First National Bank of New Jersey, until she retired to Melbourne in 1988. After retiring, she volunteered at BACAM for several years and later became involved in the Brevard Literacy Program. She was a member of several bridge clubs over the years, attaining her Life Master ranking. Phyllis is survived by her husband of 60 years, Roland; her daughter, Linda Smith; and her sons, Roland, IV and Thomas, all of NJ; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
