Obituary of Dennis Dean Rewerts

Dennis Dean Rewerts, 62, of West Melbourne, Florida, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, April 1, 2014. Dennis was born September 27, 1951, in Champaign, Illinois to Betty Lou Baird and Edwin Earl Rewerts. He is survived by his enamorado of 17 years, Debbie Foy; son Joshua Tjark (Jenny) Rewerts of Indiana; one daughter Ashley (Paul) Eenigenburg of Indiana; stepdaughters Bambi Engelhardt of Melbourne, Deanna Foy of New York City, Julie (Albert) Sorrentino of Melbourne; stepson, Karl (Kassie) Foy of Michigan; stepson-in-law, Sean Peter of Melbourne; and 13 grandchildren Isabella, Alexandra, Conner, and Caleb Rewerts; Eliana and Kenzie Eenigenburg; Darien and Skylar Peter; Nathan Foy; Madalyn, Ali, Kaili, and Liam Foy. Also surviving is one sister Linda Fenter of Illinois; one niece, one nephew, two aunts, and one uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents. Dennis was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and National Guard. He was employed by the City of West Melbourne. Dennis was a passionate man who was well-known to have never known a stranger. He had a knack for telling stories and making people laugh. He enjoyed art, history, music, reading, traveling, and was gifted in writing. He especially loved riding his Indian motorcycle. He was always ready for a new adventure. Clothes of choice were his tie-dye tee shirts. His most exceptional quality was the way in which he loved his family. He knew the true meaning of loving and giving unconditionally. His final gift was that of being an organ donor. The loss of Dennis will leave an unfillable void in the lives of all who knew him, but Heaven certainly became a little more lively when he arrived.
