Judith GÇ£JudyGÇ¥ McGregor passed away on Monday, September 8th, 2014 in Melbourne, FL. Judy was born in Lancaster, OH on April 2, 1947. She was the one and only daughter of George Foor (Step Father) and Marie (Barr, Ervin, Foor) Rutherford. Judy was raised in a wonderful small community in Bremen, OH by her mother Marie, father George, and grandma Jessie Barr. She graduated from Fairfield High School and was a drum majorette in the band as well as Ms. Falcon her senior year. Judy was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at 17 years old during her Senior Year in High School. At this time the medical community was just learning about diabetes and did not have the technology or medicine available today. Judy was told she wouldnGÇÖt live past her 30GÇÖs and would it was unlikely to have any children! While battling Diabetes herself, she decided to learn everything about it, manage her blood sugar levels on a daily basis and teach other people how to cope with the disease as well as stressing the importance of managing their own healthcare. Judy married Robbin McGregor and they raised two loving daughters, Shaney and Tonya. Judy and Robbin were married for over 20 years and then divorced. Judy completed her 4 year nursing degree to become a cardiac nurse working in the Chicago area at St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights, IL. Judy moved to Melbourne, FL in 1990 where she continued her nursing career. She was a resident at in the Suntree community. She was a member and volunteer at Suntree United Methodist Church in Melbourne, FL. Judy then met her loving companion, Walter (Walt) Bobby. Together Judy and Walt spent the last 20 years together living happily enjoying their family, friends and the Florida climate. Judy was a very strong independent woman who will be remembered as a loving mother, nana, companion and friend. Judy is survived and deeply missed by her daughters, Shaney (Scott) Mayo of Redlands, CA. and Tonya (Joseph) Regiro of Tinley Park, IL.; her loving companion Walter Bobby, and her five grand children; Matthew, Joseph, Rebecca, Shelby and Weston.
