Obituary of Christopher J. Lynch

Christopher J. Lynch of Vero Beach, age 63, died on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He passed from complications while battling leukemia. He is the fourth son of the predeceased George W. Lynch Jr. and Veronica C. Lynch (Rennie). He is survived by his sons Trevor Lynch, Christopher Lynch Jr. both of Vero Beach and his daughter Meagan Lynch of Boynton Beach. His family was his greatest joy in life. He is survived by his wife of 31 years Dawn (Egan); he has joined his brother George W. Lynch III in heaven and is survived by Georges’ wife Marion: his siblings Dr. Peter K. Lynch (Barbara), Richard D. Lynch (Cheryl), Norina C. McCarthy (Mike). He is survived by his mother and father in law, Anne and Edward Egan, and sisters and brothers in law: Deborah Egan (Bob), Richard Egan (Cori), Douglas Egan (Anne), Christine Fischer (Charles), Robert Egan (Michelle). He is survived by nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews that range from 12 to 50 years in age. Everything that made him a wonderful and ‘great ’uncle led him to become a great dad. Christopher was raised in Baldwin, New York. He graduated from Baldwin High School and attended RCA Institutes. He worked for the New York Telephone Company through its’ many name changes and in many capacities and retired in 2008 as a Second Level Manager. Always at home on the water, Christopher enjoyed fishing, diving for lobster, tubing, cruising and BBQ picnics on the beach. His signature line, “Early to bed, Early to rise, Fish all day, Make up lies” sums up his laid back, have fun approach to life. He had a way to make you feel welcome and wanted. He always had a bear hug and smile for his friends and family. He found the humor and the bright side in life, even through tears. A Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 21st at 10:00 a.m. at Saint John of the Cross Church, 7590 26th Street, in Vero Beach.
