Obituary of Pauline Pelletier Cormier

Pauline Pelletier Cormier, 69, formally of New Bedford, MA, died gracefully from a sudden and courageous battle with cancer on January 21, 2015 in Melbourne. She was the daughter of Robert L. Pelletier and the late Rose Alma (Beauregard) Pelletier, both of New Bedford. Before moving to FL in 2007, she raised her family with her former husband, Ronald A. Cormier, in MA where she worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse. They then retired and spent 10 years on an adventure traveling the United States in a motor home. She had an enthusiastic spirit for fun, learning experiences and loved interacting with people. She made the best of every situation and lived by the motto, “The Glory of God is a person fully alive!” She attended Calvary Chapel of Melbourne where she was very involved in numerous bible study groups and loved to volunteer her time in service and outreach programs. She also enjoyed being busy and active within the community, including local events, art museums, fitness centers, French cultural groups, Green Gables preservation, and theater. She especially enjoyed time with her neighbors and friends where she lived in Lakewood Village. She is survived by her three children, Angela Pauline Cormier, her loving and dedicated caregiver, from Palm Bay, Viola Christine Cormier of Portland, OR, and Garrett R. Cormier of Hickory, NC. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren, Jayden and Kamryn Cormier, both of Palm Bay, Hailey Cormier of Acushnet, MA, and Evelyn Cormier of Hickory, NC. She was the sister of Suzanne J. Pelletier of Dartmouth, MA, Michael R. Pelletier of Hawthorne, CA, and the late Robert L. Pelletier, Jr. of Hollywood, FL. A memorial service will be held at Ammen Family Cremation & Funeral Care, 1001 Hickory Street, Melbourne, FL, on January 31st at 10:00 am. A Celebration of Life will follow, hosted by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, Palm Bay, 724-2224.
