Obituary of James Joseph Williams

James Joseph Williams, 54, of Melbourne, FL passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2014. He was born in Queens, NY on June 19, 1960. He is survived by his daughter, Jessica and her husband, Chris Gibeau; his son, James Williams; his fiance’, Debbie Extein; his father, Tom Byrnes; his brothers, Billy, Thomas and Kris Byrnes; his sisters, Tracy Williams-Lasorsi and Trish Williams; his mother, Kathy Burns; and two granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Cora; his birth father, Wayne Williams; and his beloved dog, Emma. James enlisted into the U.S. Navy when he was 17 years old. When he retired from the Navy, he moved to California with his daughter, Jessica and her mother. He then moved from California to Florida 12 years ago with his son, James and his mother. He has worked as a Security Officer at Port Canaveral for the past eight years. James had a wonderful sense of humor. He was loving, giving, sweet and had a beautiful smile. He was on the road to sobriety. James and his fiance’, Debbie, were together for 10 years. He was always on Facebook, where he had hundred’s of friends. He loved to shoot his gun, especially with targets and he liked politics. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. A memorial service for James will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 1001 South Hickory Street, Melbourne, FL 32901, (321) 724-2222.
